What Is a Keyholder in Chastity?

A keyholder is a consenting person who participates in a chastity arrangement by holding a key, helping set rules, or simply supporting the experience. The role varies between couples and is not a license to ignore the wearer's safety or changing consent.

Possible responsibilities

A keyholder may agree on check-ins, keep a key for ordinary play, remind a partner of cleaning plans, or talk through how the experiment feels. Some couples keep the role symbolic and let the wearer retain full physical control. Define which version you mean before buying locks or accessories.

Boundaries that should be explicit

The wearer can stop and remove a painful device. Decide what happens if the keyholder is unavailable, how privacy is handled, and when the device comes off for skin care and cleaning. No rule should require continued wear through pain, numbness, swelling, discoloration, or urinary trouble.
