How to Clean a Chastity Cage
Share
Take the cage off for a thorough clean. The exact method depends on its material, coating, lock, and any removable parts, so the product's care instructions take priority. The basic sequence is gentle cleaning, full rinsing, complete drying, and inspection.
Step 1: remove and separate permitted parts
Unlock the device while you can see what you are doing. Take apart the ring, cage, and lock only where the design allows it. Do not force a pin, hinge, or glued joint. Keep small parts together so you do not accidentally reassemble with an incompatible ring.
Step 2: wash reachable surfaces
Use the cleaner and water temperature allowed by the maker. Pay special attention to ring contact areas, ventilation openings, joins, and the lock area. A soft cloth or suitable small brush may help reach openings, but avoid scratching a coated or printed surface. Rinse until no cleaner remains.
Step 3: dry and inspect
Allow every component, including hidden seams, to dry completely before storage or reassembly. Check for rough edges, cracks, loose parts, or a closure that does not release reliably. Clean the skin separately with warm water and pat dry; harsh scented products and scrubbing can irritate genital skin.
Adjust for material
Do not assume boiling, alcohol, bleach, a dishwasher, or abrasive scrubbing is safe for every cage. See the silicone-specific cleaning guide for flexible silicone parts and the steel-specific cleaning guide for bare or finished steel. A printed resin part needs its own maker instructions. If the material or finish is uncertain, ask for care guidance before using a stronger method.
If the device is painful, numbness or swelling develops, or urination is difficult, remove it immediately; cleaning will not solve a fit problem. See the Mamba size guide for the three measurements to recheck.
